Private sponsorship times are extremely long these days and typically many years so that is why you likely haven’t seen any movement in the file.
Yeah private sponsorship timeline is very dependent on the country.
Pakistan used to be faster, but it was a reflection of priorities of the Canadian government.
A lot has changed since the new liberal government, it seems.

Current processing times is supposed to be about 10 month for stage 2, clearly not entirely accurate

our case has now been 11 month in stage 2. Islamabad. No interview or medical appoinment, we have 2 woman and a littlechild in our case. The situation is very bad for them in Pakistan.

Have you tried reach out to your MP? It was rather useless in our case, but wondering if you had a different experience?

If part of SAH you are already not living in ideal conditions. The reality is that backlogs were already large and IRCC has reduced quotas so the amount of SAH refugees arriving per year is smaller. Processing is going to get longer unless IRCC stops accepting any refugees from abroad to catch up on the backlogs and return to a reasonable processing length.

Can you just back off with your all time negative responses? You are all over the place and you have never anything positive to say! Do you have family abroad and worry every day? We have approval of our SAH sponsorship and are 1 year into step 2.

Unfortunately, you are right.
But they have stopped taking group of 5 and community groups supported private sponsorship for a while now. That should help with the backlog.

Their backlog calculation is also not accurate, I am sure there is a bug in the logic. So we have no option but to wait and hope for the best..

Yes, we have, 5 month ago, no response what so ever.
Yeah, after a couple of follow ups our MP just got back to us with the case status… no new information and no lobbying the IRCC on our behalf.

We also contacted an immigration law firm to see our options, and we were told there is literally no option..
If they have waited longer than three months from the combined processing time then we can discuss filing a suit against IRCC.. but the combined processing time just shot up from 18 months to 37 months last week. My family is at 19 months combined now

Im so sorry! I wonder how the combined proccessing time can count? Ecspecially as it is not a forward looking one?

It is accurate information and people need to be prepared for very long processing times (often years).
