2026 January - Citizenship Applicants

I have submitted Citizenship application on 2nd Jan 2026 and my PR card is Valid upto Feb 2027.
Do I renew my PR card to be safe?

Based on current trends - If things go super smooth with your application, you could have your passport in hand by mid August.

If it crosses August/September and your application seems to be stuck in non-routine processing for whatever reason and you anticipate a longer wait time for citizenship. Then you can decide on if you want/need to apply for a PR card renewal after that.

You'll kinda get an idea by July if your application is progressing at normal speeds or if it seems to be stuck somewhere.

Thanks. Does it take time to create the tracker account? Should I wait for another email? Because right now it says it cannot find my information and it is not valid.
