I got the same email before my appointment but everything went well , good luck to you.

I received similar email, but bit different. I contacted the consulate visa team by email for personal reason. They told me that I am RTD holder and my appointment confirmation issued country shouldn’t say canada , so they changed it to my origin nationality . Do you why this happened? When we fill appointment form, there is question that RTD isssued country. So, we selected canada. That why. You can fix it easily.

I'm on canada PR and I'm giving up my H1B visa this month end from my US employer as I'm moving to canada for good, but I need a visiting visa (B1B2) to the states as my baby is with the pediatrician in US. I live in border city (detroit and windsor)
Any process for that?

You need another plan. It may take over a year to get an appointment for an interview for your B1/B2. Also you may also lose your insurance coverage if you are no longer living and working in the US.

Hey I also applied with my RTD no pr did they ask you pr card, I also refused 2 visit visa when I was back home before 13 years
My US visa update
My visa refused under 214(b)
I guess I did to mistakest or misunderstanding with my proof of status. The first is when I arrive the front desk Indian woman ask me my RTD and proof of status. Then I gave NOD with RTD then she see my work permit on my hand and said work permit, I tried to explain to her that I am convenience refuge not temporary work permit holder, but she said no because most applicant was Indian with work and study permit . I thought I should explain to officer but he didn’t asked me my status. When I reached the visa officer, I handed him rtd and work permit as she gave me. The first question was what do you work? I feel he recognized me as temporary work permit holder. The second was when he asked me relative in US I mentioned my 3 sisters I for got my mom. He wasn’t comfortable about my relative in US.
Finally he said OUR RULE IS STRICT and handed me refusal letter. Don’t be shy to correct them with respect. My heart knows there was misunderstanding but I shy to explain.

Visa was approved. Just normal questions on where you are going? If I have any family? And extra questions for me as I had a student visa in the past.
