There are huge backlogs. If you haven’t lived in your home country since you were 11 that also makes proof of persecution much more difficult.

Can you DM me? I am also based in Vancouver. Your case process is faster than mine. I filed my case on Feb 2025 and background check done on Jan 2026.

I think they just stated reviewing all the 2025 applicants in January 2026 ( for background check ) I’m just few days ahead than you nothing big, but I think they’ll be processing our files at the same time ( also depending on the case ).
