Spousal inland application in process - divorce/any tips

Hi all,

Not sure where to post so I just posted here .
lets say : Spousal inland application is in process, and relationship gets sour !

husband lives in canada (cirizen) and wife(on spousal open work permit) leaves backto their home country and decides not to come back !
In this case - how will divorce work , do they have to be physically present here Or not required - husband can file it without them ?

Now for the on going pr application - who has to inform ircc - will their application gets cancelled
Need advice here

You can eventually file for divorce in Canada. You also need to withdraw your spousal sponsorship.

Thanks for reply. For withdraw does the principal applicant have to do it, or can I, as the sponsor? is it through ircc webform?

Both can should do it but as the sponsor you can and should do it. Yes via webform.
