Applied for divorce in Ontario court.
Received ADR/letter saying that you're still considered married.
Provided 3 options
1. Provide them divorce certificate in 90 days
2. Continue as married and non accompanying spouse
3. Withdraw and apply in future


I have to reply them back before end of this month so that's why doing some research

Do you know which visa office is processing your application?

Im from ontario too. And they said timeline right now for divorce is 6-8 months after the set down

I got PFL to submit divorce. I got married outside canada just after receiving Final decision and before receiving ecopr. Spouse denied Medicals and PCC. I can't submit divorce in my country until July 2026.

yes but u can still apply and send him divorce papers in his country it’s gonna be long process though

I requested to remove spouse R 117 9 d exclusion and submitted lawyer letter that I can't file divorce.

I can't file divorce in my country until 1 year if marriage. Until July 2026, I can't file divorce

i am confused. At what point was the PFL issued? After FD? Before ECOPR? Ur spouse denied medicals and pcc but in ur statement you said you got married outside canada after FD and before Ecopr? Im confused about the timeline

Got married after responding to Portal 1 mail. Informed IRCC and IRCC added spouse to application ...ircc asked wife pcc, medicals. Wife denied pcc , Medicals. Received PFL

Thank you for your insight. How about for the PCC? Initially I wasnt able to submit any PCC for my non accompanying spouse. I only provided LOE regarding our separation and provided supporting documents such as the affidavit and statutory declaration and proof of divorce filing as the reason why I wasnt able to provide her PCC.

Will IRCC ask this eventually later on? Or would that lead to rejection? Im not sure if IRCC issues a rejection without a PFL first.

So far, I have submitted biometrics and medical is completed in the tracker (me as the principal applicant)
