Nothing whatsoever. They just replied to my webmail in less than an hour that its still being processed, like i didnt know that.

I can confirm this. I submitted a webform about a month ago and received a response very quickly indicating that everything was in order and the application was still in process. My sense is that unless the webform brings in any material change to your file, the response is essentially the same as what you would get by calling IRCC.

The only thing I can see over here on this page that IRCC asks people to inform them if they plan to leave more than 2 weeks. Now, is this only to manage oath invites or so (i dont know) - but it is indeed mentioned over here:

As i mentioned in a previous post, i did leave for more than 2 weeks and i didnt tell IRCC because i simply didnt know. Well nothing happened (other than no updates since then
)

I didnt know that IRCC would group people in batches based on their test invites? Does it make sense? I was in the window preceeding that (May 16 - June 14) and still stuck.
just my sense but I have been tracking updates on FB and it seems like updates come in batches based on the AOR and test windows. might be wrong!
for your case I strongly believe your Prob is done but it's just pending your spouse. i think once your spouse BG clears, you should both get the invite for oath immediately! just my guess

Yes, that’s my assumption as well, and I’ve seen other cases that seem to support it. A friend of mine in Toronto applied in January 2025, and her file is still stuck at bg and prohibitions. Her husband and children, however, applied separately in October 2024 and became citizens in February 2025. Had they applied together, they would likely all still be waiting for her file to be finalized.
In hindsight, I think I probably made a misatake applying as a group
Ah I am sorry that it's getting so frustrating. you did your best with the knowledge at the time. funny enough my spouse and I applied separately and we both got stuck in long BG check! you never know with all the chaos at IRCC. finger crossed you guys will get it soon!

I try to share this every month to keep discussion alive (and maybe hopes). I never knew I would be talking about this after 6 months of dead silence in my application!
Monthly IRCC statistics have just been released. The number of outstanding applications increased from 297K to 305.4K (i think this is a record). For March applicants, the number of files ahead of us dropped from 72K to 66.7K—a reduction of 5.3K cases, or roughly 7% of the previously outstanding applications before ours. Despite the rise in overall backlog, the published average processing time remains unchanged at 13 months.

So when should we start talking to the MP? When we applied the estimated time was 9 months then 10 so by the end of Jan we should surpass the estimated time at the time of application. Now on the site it says 3 months and it has been 3 months for a couple of months (at least if not more).
Maybe Less applications processed last month because of the holidays season, hope this month we might see some progress.
It's so frustrating not knowing when the process will end, My file is stuck in BG checks and according to the GCMS notes assigned to some officer, the due date was 03 Dec 2025 but no updates till now. Ordered another set of GCMS notes.
Calling IRCC is just waste of time if anyone trying to know the status of the application, I called twice since last March and always the same answer to all the questions that your file is in progress....
I just heard a theory from a friend who recently received their oath ceremony. According to them, applicants who originally obtained permanent residence after entering Canada on a TRV through inland spousal sponsorship tend to experience much longer delays compared to those who landed as permanent residents directly or entered on a work visa. Does this make sense?
Yes! Maybe it is one of the factors...
But for me, I believe that applicant's Profession, Age, Race, Religion, Nationality, Travel history, even the Name could cause delays ...
It's hard to rule anything out - but there's no logical reason to think so.
And unless this theory is backed by some serious data (which, let's face it, it's not), this is "I noticed it rains when I wear my fancy socks so obviously those socks cause the rain" level of 'analysis.'
Or to be absolutely clear: I don't think it makes any sense. If you want to believe someone who thinks it does, that's your prerogative.
