Hi,
We are family of 5 and protected person. We do had USA visitor visa earlier and it’s expired now.

4 has Refugee travel documents for travelling purpose and 1 new born baby has Canadian Passport.

Questions:
1- On Refugee travel documents how much log duration visa is granting by USA embassy ? Is it multiple entries for 5years or 10 years ??

2- We have to fill DS-160 for 4 family members separately right?
As 5th member has Canadian passport he doesn’t need USA visa to travel , he will get on arrival visa stamp ?

It depends on your country of origin. If they give you 10 years it will be 10. But for some countries they issue 5 years. Also if you have your pr card they issue 10 years I heard.

Did you use your USA visa to go to the USA then come to Canada to claim asylum ?

Very hard to compare to pre-Trump era. US is becoming much stricter about who they award visas especially if you entered Canada via the US. Whether you are PRs will also likely be a factor. All you can do is apply and see what happens.

1- as others have said the duration of the visa and number of entries depends on multiple factors like PR, country of origin, how you entered canada etc. No one here can give you a definitive answer
2- yes you have to fill 4 separate ds160 forms
3- just carry the canadian passport of the 5th family member. there is no visa for canadians

I havent seen a video for a step-by-step guidance on filling the ds160 form for canadian RTD holders. I got a 10yr US visa on my RTD last year and can help guide you.

Please share what question on what page of the application you are unsure about, and type the question exactly as it appears in the ds160 form here and I will do my best to respond.

Great many thanks

FYI
US Visa are issued by the Department of State. If you used them to transit the USA to ENTER Canada the Americans look upon that EXTREMELY negatively
You misrepresented the reason why you wanted to visit the USA

You may or may not get one .

That’s not the question what you answere for dear.

Question is that transit is consider as entered into US or not ? As immigration has not stamping on passports an entry or exit

No, the US does not have airside transit for international-to-international flights. So all passengers arriving from outside the US must go through US Customs and Immigration, collect their bags, clear Customs, and then re-check their bags before getting their connecting flight. So in your case, you will have to go through US Customs and Immigration and then get your flight to Calgary. The only exception is if you're departing from a US Preclearance airport (like Toronto YYZ or Abu Dhabi AUH), where you can clear US formalities within YYZ/AUH before flying to the US. Turkey airports don't have US Preclearance.
No stamping anymore, now it's a digital record called I-94.

Of course it’s an entry
Your entry , exit is recorded electronically
Canada records your entry and sends it to the USA
USA knows you claimed asylum
What else would it be ?

Stamping is irrelevant

And they know where you exited and they know you claimed asylum

It’s 2025

And when US immigration looks into your file they’ll see your history
They do this so they can see what you used your visa for . It wasn’t to visit . It was to enter the USA to then go to Canada

That’s Great, so I was updating my DS 160 for visa renewal. Should I mention and include that particular travel and a entry in US with that date/day which was in transit /connecting flight.

Travel from Turkey to US and than US to Canada as entered in the US with date with 1 day selection ? Or not as my passport doesn’t have that day stamping.

Earlier I did multiple US visa all have a separate stamp entry B2

Yes, you can check your entire US entry history here - https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/search/history-search

If you were born in or held citizenship of one of the 39 countries where the Trump visa ban applies there is not much point filing now, the US will not process your application. Having a Canadian RTD will not help you.
