Thank you! And I am so sorry you've been in a holding pattern for the past month and a half - that is so frustrating!! I feel like the timelines are designed to drive us insane. I completely understand that the time it would take to complete a background verification or eligibility check would be variable case by case depending on your particular situation, but I feel like confirming your address etc. for P1 or creating the eCORP should be a relatively standard wait time. Arghhh.Congratulations!! That's incredibly exciting!!! You're SO CLOSE!!
Are you flying or travelling by vehicle through a land POE? If by land, you would be ok to return just showing them the eCOPR document -- which you should receive probably in the next week or two (would hopefully be before they all leave for holiday) since you submitted your P2 details today.
My husband and I are flying on the 24th so it's actually potentially a pretty big problem if eCORP is issued before we leave but the PR card doesn't arrive until January some time. I guess I could buy a last minute plane ticket to Plattsburgh or something and have my husband drive to come pick me up to cross over the land barrier. There wasn't a place in P2 to indicate any upcoming travel. What is kind of interesting is that I now have NEXUS, so when I arrive at the airport I don't even speak to the immigration agents anymore nor do I have to indicate where I live. I just scan my NEXUS card and press nothing to declare....I'm guessing something in my file will be flagged once I receive eCORP? I honestly thought I'd get P2 in January based on seeing people's timelines so didn't think this was going to be an issue (and I have a work trip planned for early Feb so didn't want to delay things).
Someday (hopefully very soon) this will be all behind us...think of the energy and brain space it will free up!
