Hi, did you finally receive your oath ceremony invite? My LPP got completed on November 5 and waiting for oath now. I am based in Victoria.
Yes , I received it finally. Details below.

Finally received my oath invite email ( no tracker update) for Dec 5th (virtual) ,yesterday evening.. Vancouver resident..(self+ child)

Vancouver Office | submitted April 14 | AOR: May 15
• Test: June 22 → Completed July 2
• FP Request: July 17
• FP Completed: July 19 (IRCC received it on Aug 6 , I called on August 11th to get a confirmation)
• BG: Completed Aug 28 → Marked Aug 30
• LPP: Completed Sep 15

Hi, just a quick update on the citizenship to passport initiative.

Timeline:
Oct 23 - Oath ceremony
Oct 24 - Citizenship certificate became available
Oct 30 - IRCC reached out to confirm information
Nov 10 - Received my passport

During this time, you don't have any access to status tracker, so you're basically left in the dark the whole time.
This will be my last post. Wishing everyone the very best and hope we will cross paths again somewhere.

As usual, very disappointing to see people become citizens over Zoom. While this practice is allowed by the IRCC, its beyond mortifying to see people celebrate or affect something as serious as marriage or baptism on a computer. Its very low-effort and shameful by you.

Interestingly despite my views and willingness to wait extra weeks to do it in person, zero updates on my application since passing the test. So it seems low-effort people win.

Or perhaps ... these folks are sacrificing hard for YOU?

Remember that there's limited space in a public, in-person ceremony and it takes more time to arrange, so there are fewer available. The average count for an in-person ceremony is about 75, and about 52 are held per month. So that's 3900 roughly. Meanwhile for zoom, 224 are held a month with an average count of 135. So that's 30240.

Or maybe they're waiting to fulfill your wishes by finding you an in-person spot before wrapping up your app all at once?

If everyone was duking it out for an in-person ceremony, think about how much longer you'd have to wait. Your wait would be almost eight (8) times as long!

An in-person ceremony didn't matter to me at all, so I was content to accept a zoom version, especially given I know the in-person ceremony really does matter for a lot of people.

Anyway, it sounds like you deserve your wait. Enjoy it, my friend! I enjoyed sitting in my comfy armchair at home and becoming a citizen. The presiding judge didn't even pause to appraise my effort or shame levels.

Thanks for your input. In fairness I had a great day, It appears you may still have a long wait!

My arm chair was extremely comfortable too!

Any April applicants still waiting for LPP ? I made numerous calls , I get the same response that it hasn't started. Requested ATIP but never got any response. My background is complete since May..Any suggestions?

Yep, same here.

Earlier in the thread some of us were speculating that if we had connections or trips to the US, the shutdown there might have caused a bunch of delays....
