Hi everyone,

Just wanted to check in and see what others think — do you believe PR processing for February 2025 inland spousal applicants will take longer than the typical 12 months?

I know IRCC showed a 24–28 month estimate when we applied, but recent timelines seem a bit faster. Here’s my timeline for reference:

Application Submitted inland: Feb 4, 2025

AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt): Feb 27, 2025

Biometrics & Pre-Arrival Letter: June 9, 2025

Biometrics Completed: June 11, 2025

Sponsor Eligibility & AIP (Approval in Principle): June 13, 2025

Has anyone else from February 2025 gotten DM (Decision Made) or PR already? Any thoughts or trends from earlier months?

Thanks in advance
Hi do you have any further updates after june 13 ? I am planning to apply myself but the long processing time is so frustrating

Just waiting patiently brother. The wait is long but it'll be worth it. Saw that it dropped from 36 to 23 months, so that's a good sign. I applied with a reputable representative (they're called Right Link Immigration in Abbotsford) it took a lot of headache off and their fees were much cheaper than it is currently and my application has been underway since February. Glad we aren't in Quebec where they stopped taking new applications altogether since like June for a year. Some people's lives were destroyed but my plan so far has been working, investing and saving, and waiting

Here's my timeline

Hello,

I need some insight regarding my situation.

My PGPW is expiring on Oct 27th, 2025. I and my husband (My husband is already PR) got married last week and have submitted an application for marriage certificate. We have called the office of registrar and wrote them a letter to expedite the Marriage certificate process as the process is approximately 8 weeks. Meanwhile I spoke to 2 immigration consultants on how to continue to work. They gave me 2 options

  1. To apply for inland PR without the marriage certificate and apply for spousal WP on the basis of that- later update the application Via web form with the Marriage certificate
2 Another consultant said that we should apply for C10 permit just to be on applied status and wait for the Marriage certificate to come. After getting the marriage certificate - apply for spousal PR and withdraw the C10 application and start a new SOWP application.
I am confused if i go with the first option and be on applied status for SOWP and continue working - if my PR application is returned due to not having Marriage certificate, would it affect my SOWP application like would it be refused?

And i am also confused if in the second scenario if I apply for C10 with an explanation letter - would that be more beneficial.

I am really stuck, and I need some guidance as I do not want to stop working
