My wife as sponsor is applying for her father sponsorship under 2025 PGP program. Can she could fillup her father (principal applicant's) complete application through PR portal. What form needs to fill up to get that authorization?
Yes she can, use the use of representative IMM5476, have her father sign and she sign it and it should be good to go.

My Wife is sponsoring her father, but she does not have Birth certificate as it was never obtained. What are the best alternate documents which IRCC would accept. Need help if anyone with the same scenario?

If you have time, quickly read through these 15 pages and you'll get most of the answers you need.
For passport, if you have the old one, upload that, upload the receipt for the new passport application in other documents and also include a letter of explanation saying new passport has been applied but you have not received it. You'll get a document request for the new passport in like 3 months when the application gets checked.

For 5768, you need to e-sign or print, sign and upload it.

Hi - today morning - I got 2 emails from CPC Mississauga requesting some additional documents (which I had uploaded when I submitted my PGP application). Then within 2 hours, I got 2 more emails from CPC Mississauga with the subject line "Recall: Citizenship and Immigration Canada - CPCM - Communication to client".

Does this mean I don't need to submit the documents they asked for?

I do not think you need to resubmit, but you can reply use email or webform to confirm with them for safety. When did you submit? I have not received anything yet thanks

Which date did you submit your pgp application?

Anyone know what to do if we have gaps in education, in Section C of form IMM5669? The document section says that there should be no gaps in education. What about summer vacations? Do we list the gaps in the form and a letter of explanation. Or can we simply attach a letter of explanation to explain the gaps and only list periods of education in the form

Thanks

Doesn’t the financial evaluation form 5768 state electronically sign for point 8 under instructions for this form and Use of Representative as well to sign electronically which means typing the name is okay?
Correct. Both can be signed electronically.

Biometrics Conflict

When I look up here https://ircc.canada.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp to find out if Biometrics is needed, I get result:
Answer: You need to give your biometrics.
However, the line below it mentions:
If you’re between 14 and 79 years old, you need to give your fingerprints and photo for all permanent resident applications, including:

Any idea why such conflicting answers? My parents are both 80+, so I am confused if I should pay the biometrics fees or not.

Are the signatures can by done just by typing your names(Applicant & Representative) on IMM5476? or it should be a proper signatures?
Electronic signatures will do.

How do you guys sign the IMM5476 form. Electronically (i.e. typing your and your parents' names) or with wet signature (print, sign, and scan)? The guide says electronically but I've seen some troubling threads from other people that they signed electronically but then got a letter from IRCC saying their applications are incomplete because the IMM5476 forms is missing hand signature...
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ication/application-forms-guides/imm5476.html
this instructions link clearly states EITHER OPTION IS ACCEPTABLE
The form is signed by the applicant and representative submitted through a portal or secure account
Hand signature (also called a wet signature)
: Print and sign the form by hand.

E-Signature: Any type of insert on PDF forms:

  • Typed name
  • Adobe’s Fill & Sign or DocuSign (or other 3rd party app/software)
  • Scan or an image of a signature
  • Check box as indicated
Thumbprint: acceptable if a person is illiterate or cannot make a mark (e.g., an X) for a physical reason.
