Hello Members,

I’m about to submit a super visa application for my mom and wondering if a upfront medical exam is mandatory? Im not able to get an appointment for next 15 days for the exam and i dont know if its a good idea for me to wait until my mom finishes her exam since it will delay her application submission.

Is it okay if i go ahead and submit the application for now and later submit the medical exam confirmation via web form ? Will that be a problem?

Please help and appreciate any responses!!

Thanks!

No it’s not mandatory. I submitted the application on the portal last week without medical done. I didn’t have time for Medical to be completed, 60 days was about to be over in 4 days. In online portal you have to submit application within 60 days of creation. Now I will wait for IRCC to send the request. It’s optional to submit upfront or later. Not sure if it effects the processing time.

It is a relatively new change so you may have gotten away with not submitting that medical upfront but no guarantee it will continue to be overlooked.

Waiting 15 days to complete the upfront medical may actually make processing faster. It certainly won’t make it dramatically longer. Processing can take months so 15 days is nothing in the grand scheme of things. You wouldn’t want to risk having your application sent back/refused as incomplete.
