Hi everyone,

I recently used WES for ECA evaluation of my degrees.

For context, I've the following degrees from Pakistan

1. Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) (Hons) 4-Years
2. Masters of Business Administration 2-Years

I sent all my HEC authenticated mark sheets and degrees to WES.org, but after the evaluation, they only gave me equivalence of a Canadian 'Bachelor's degree (four years)'.

While my brother used the University of Toronto (CES) for his ECA evaluation, and he was given a Master's equivalence even though his course duration was 6 months shorter than mine.

I did some research and found out this is common for WES, so if you're considering WES. org for your ECA, please do not use them.

I'd recommend you use the University of Toronto (CES) for your ECA degree evaluation; they're more lenient and will most likely give you a masters equivalence if you're in a similar situation.

Thanks

Hello,

I have the same issue and experience with WES for my sister. How you are are addressing this issue with WES?
Have you submitted any complaint to WES?

Hi,

I contacted WES and they said this is how they do it and they won't change it. As far as I've checked, WES is fast but more strict and gives a lower equivalence. While CES is more lenient, gives a higher equivalence but takes more time.

If you need a higher equivalence for your sister, you'll have to do a fresh ECA evaluation through CES the University of Toronto. I recently checked their website, and they usually take 60 days. This is the only option for you, unfortunately!

I hope more people find this post and avoid wasting their time and money on WES.

Thank you so much for your support.
