Long Story Ahead - But please don’t skip
Hey my friends, I would appreciate your insight in my situation.
I received an ADR yesterday requesting a notarized IMM5519 statutory declaration of severance of a common-law relationship form.
The end of my relationship was complicated because we genuinely ended it but continued living in the same house. We broke up on October 1, but he left my bedroom on October 31. However, I mixed up those dates and don’t remember which one I put on my application. I know I was careless and incompetent for not paying more attention. Please don’t judge me; I’m already harshly criticizing myself.
I sent the IMM5519 yesterday, filling it with the October 1 date. I also wrote an LOE explaining that we share the same address but no longer have a relationship. He’s even in a new relationship now.
I couldn’t sleep last night, worrying about how I could have messed up my life’s dream by mixing up the dates. I understand how serious IRCC takes these things, and I’m afraid about the possibility that I put October 31 in my application.
I even have a screenshot of when I reported the end of my relationship to CRA, and it was October 1 (the same date I put on the IMM5519).
Could someone please give me some advice? If I used the wrong date in my application and they scrutinize me for the difference between the IMM5519 and the application, would I be able to write a strong LOE to explain the mistake?
Thank you in advance for your responses!
