Inquiry on AOR Status Updates for 2023 and 2024 Startup Visa Applicants

I am following up on the progress of Startup Visa applications submitted in 2023 and 2024. Specifically, I would like to know about the issuance of the Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR).

I submitted my SUV application in February 2024 but have not yet received my AOR. I would appreciate it if friends who applied after October 2023 or in 2024 could kindly share their updates—when you received your AOR, or if you have not received it yet despite submitting the application.

Hey, I feel your pain. I’m in the same boat. I applied for PR through the Start-Up Visa program in Canada from India in February 2024, and I still haven’t received my AOR. I’ve been very worried because I only recently came to know that the processing time officially starts only after you get your AOR.

My children are now in college, and it seems like it’s going to take a long time to reach there. I’ve met people who applied back in 2022 they got their AOR in 13 months, but even now, they still haven’t received their PR. That makes me even more anxious. Our work permit was also rejected once and we didn't apply again because we have to pay international college fees if we go on a work permit which makes no sense as we've already spent a substantial amount of money on the incubator and the whole startup process.
Sometimes I feel like I chose the wrong program. We were told it would hardly take two years to move, but it now feels like it’s going to take much longer. I really don’t want to end up moving to Canada in my late 50s — it’s already so difficult to start over at this stage.

Can you please share where did you apply for your Start-Up Visa from? Did you apply for your PR from India or from somewhere else?
