Yeah, the difference is filing a single application together means they'd make you wait until hers is done for you both to take the oath together. So had you done that, both of you would still be waiting, instead of just her.
Actually, 5 months is astonishingly, shockingly good. I myself have already been waiting five months and still have LPP in progress. And the official tracker has said that the average time has gone up from 10 to 11 months now (it's at

Hmm, she changed her address but you didn't? I wonder if that affected the times or made the app a "non-routine" one.
