Hi,
Just checked the latest AOR dates on website
The page was last updated on 15th Sep
It says they are sending AORs for the week of July14,

Previous updates 8th Sep it was week of July 7
2nd Sep it was week of June 30

Probably by September end or by October start they would start sending AORs for August start applications.
Super insane that AOR times are almost 2 months, IRCC must be deprioritizing citizenship applications which is sad and concerning at the same time.

I have seen July 26th getting AOR. Expect by next week to start for August.

What we see in this forum is only a small portion of applications IRCC is dealing with. I'm a bit disappointed too, but I think we can focus on other stuff at this point, and just come back to this when we have the AOR.

Is it better to have early AORs and a long process? (I've seen people with AORs of 2 weeks after submission and are still waiting for IRCC now!) OR is it better to have a 2-month AOR but a smoother process? (5-6 months in total)

Just trust the process at this point! :'D

You might be one of the first ones from August to receive AOR!! Hopefully soon!

Not really
People who are applying for Citizenship already have a PR.
It is good if they are processing temporary resident applications faster as there might be someone who cannot work, study, travel because of a pending answer from IRCC. The only benefit we would gain is the right to vote and Visa on arrival at a few countries.

This is a really nice way of looking at it!
