I want to know i am working as a cook in pizza store which is local restaurant and we are making dough sauces from scratch and even vegetables we are chopping at store. We are also making changes to menus. So will it consider as cook skilled trade experience means noc b 63200?

Do you have any secondary or apprenticeship training?

• Completion of secondary school is usually required.
• Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks
  or
  completion of college or other program in cooking or food safety
  or
  several years of commercial cooking experience may be required.

It will be up to the visa officer to determine whether you are a cook or not? Gut feeling would be no if it is only pizza and no other foods on the menu like a primarily pizza restaurant that offers other foods either primarily Italian or more varied cuisine but I’m not IRCC. Is this a sit down restaurant or takeaway? Do you have previous experience as a cook? If you have posted education what is it in? If you have previous work experience what is it in if not as a cook?

Why they have added title pizza cook under the cooks category. Its a takeaway restaurant. I have done HR accounts and finance. I am doing job in warehouse. My point is that then why people got their PR as a welder but they don’t have any prior experience.

Yet again not up to me your roles overlap 2 categories. It will be up to VO to determine which NOC is more relevant.

FYI . I did exactly this was when I was in Grade 10. Amount of training ? Zero

Chopping vegetables is not skilled . Changing the menu is not skilled

Equating welding experience to chopping vegetables is ridiculous

I subsequently worked in a high end country club kitchen . Chef , sous chef , desert chef. THAT would be classified as skilled
