Also, as in my example, one can move to Canada but keep job in US.

Haha... you on H1B in USA? As the other poster said "it's a vicious cycle on H1B"

As a reminder, this was what the poster said:

once I am settled into another job again in US. It is a vicious cycle on H1B. You work hard not to get laid off but eventually it happens for me, every 2 years. I am not built for this. I will look into hiring a lawyer.

Edit: Perhaps you should just add more to your response than just said: "Essentially zero..." And add ... they are on H1B they can’t just get any job in the US and another job or continuance of their H1B is far from guaranteed.
