The recruitment department at Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto, Canada is pleased to inform you that after reviewing your CV and responses to our initial questions, we have decided to offer you a position with our team. You are being considered for the position of manager. Below, you will find the general terms and conditions of your employment.
General Terms and Conditions:
Salary: The allocated salary for this position is $8,000 USD monthly.
Allowances: You are entitled to a weekly allowance of $80 USD, exclusive of your salary.
Salary Increment: After six months of service, you will receive a 5% salary increase based on performance.
Accommodation and Entertainment: The hotel will cover 50% of your accommodation costs, which includes a two-bedroom apartment equipped with internet, a fully fitted kitchen, and bathroom facilities.
Working Hours, Days Off, and Holidays: You will work 6 days a week, totaling 54 hours, with a work schedule of 9 hours daily. Work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sundays are free from 10:00 a.m. You will also be entitled to a two-week break every 5 months.
Overtime and Compensation: Any work conducted outside the scheduled hours will be compensated in accordance with the labor code.
Employee Obligations: You are expected to perform your duties to the best of your abilities during the agreed work hours.
Duration of Contract: The contract will last for two years, with the possibility of renewal or termination based on mutual agreement and justified reasons.
Benefits: You will be covered by the company’s health insurance policy. A one-week trial period will be implemented upon your arrival, during which you will be compensated according to the labor code.
Uniform: Employees are required to wear the hotel’s official uniform during work hours.
Contract Signing: A formal contract will be sent to you for signing upon agreement to the terms and conditions outlined here.

Before you can travel to Canada and start your role, certain documents are required for your work and residence. These documents will be processed at the Canadian Embassy in Cameroon, as the Canadian ambassador there is a shareholder in our hotel and manages visa arrangements for all candidates. The documents include:

Work Permit
Resident Permit
