I applied for a humanitarian public policy pathway and have completed all the necessary steps, including medical exams, biometrics, and submitting my background check from my home country.

I understand that the pre-arrival letter is a standard document sent upon completion of the eligibility review. However, I would like to know if there's an estimated timeframe for receiving the Passport Request (PPR). My background check is clear, and I have no security issues, so I'm hoping this might expedite the process. Any information on the typical waiting period would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

What H&C program and when did you apply?

Humanitarian Pathway for the Americas: I applied on November 23, 2023, and received my AOR in January 2025. I completed medicals, biometrics, and background checks in May 2025, and received my pre-arrival letter on July 9, 2025.

Really tough to say when you may get PPR. The quota for H&C is very small and I’m not sure what has been allocated to your program and how many applicants are in a queue before you. Would suggest posting on this thread and looking back to see what others are experiencing when it comes to processing times
