Replacing a lost card.
Applied July 17th
status:16 (contrl + shift + i way)
still shows as submitted - not able to link anywhere - no updates so far

Did anyone got their card from July application?

I applied in July 11th, nothing on the portal. Hope to get it soon

I know the forum has mixed views on this part of the PR Portal but thought I'd share this. I checked it tonight and saw my ID is now marked 20. It was previously at 16. And the updatedAt: July 30, 2025. So going by what others experience was with this feature my application was completed and processed today, in the timeframe of 16-18 business days at the time of submission on July 6. So hopefully my card comes in within the next couple of weeks especially with the holiday on Monday.
Any update on yours? Thanks

Two NOAs is fine. A few bank statements is fine, not one for each year.

Look at the instructions: it says two docs. Do that. Stop looking for more.
Here is a snippet from official guide which clearly mentions to provide all 5 NOA and that counts as 1 piece of supporting document :

Supporting documents showing that you meet the residency obligation

  • You must provide copies of 2 pieces of evidence that can show you have met the residency in Canada in the five (5) years immediately before the application, or since becoming a PR if it has been less than 5 years. Some examples include:
    • employment records or pay stubs;
    • bank statements;
    • Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) Notice of Assessment for the five (5) years immediately before the application
    • evidence that you received benefits from Canadian government programs;
    • rental agreements;
    • club memberships;
    • or any other documents that prove you met your residency obligation.
My question is whether Health Card records from Provincial Health Ministry is acceptable or not ?

The requirement and wording in the official doc was changed a year or two ago, and noted at the time (here on boards) that this language was not changed - i.e. it was likely an unintentional oversight that the wording and plurals here were NOT changed. (Also makes no sense, there's no hard requirement that a PR should be/have been tax resident for all five years).

This is further supported by the fact that MULTIPLE applicants - as reported here on board - have renewed providing just this supporting evidence, eg two NOAs.

Seems to me you're wasting time. If you want to include health records so badly, try it.

It appears you overlook the very instructions you copy here. Among the examples of items constituting evidence those instructions list (as you quote) "evidence that you received benefits from Canadian government programs."

If you read that example and that does not answer your question, if you need it spelled out: YES!

That is, yes, documents (records) that show you received benefits (such as health care coverage) from a Canadian government program (such as provincial health insurance; such as OHIP for those in Ontario) is evidence that you received benefits from Canadian government program . . . and thus evidence of residence in Canada.

Also see further explanation where I posted the following:

For a PR who meets the RO based on days present here in Canada, who has been living here for awhile and is currently living here, they should be OK marking the "proof" item in the checklist if they include with the application, for example (one among many):
-- a bank statement that shows the PR's address here in Canada and at least one transaction in Canada
-- a copy of the PR's provincial health card (if it is valid AND the PR meets the qualifications for having the coverage)

For a PR here in Canada there should be scores of alternative evidence to submit. Just about anything that shows the PR engaged in some activity here in Canada, or some transaction in Canada, or that shows the PR's presence, or that shows residence (government or business communication addressed to the PR showing the PR's residential address is good).

As for this:

. . . snippet from official guide which clearly mentions to provide all 5 NOA and that counts as 1 piece of supporting document . . .

It appears you misread the instruction. It identifies the NOA as an example of evidence showing residency; this example clearly means that a NOA from any of the previous five years will constitute one of the "pieces of evidence that can show" the PR met their RO.

After all, on its face a single NOA (for a resident return) from one of the previous five years is indeed evidence that person was resident in Canada during that tax year. Even if the NOA was not itself listed as an example, it fits what is among "any other documents" showing residency.

Clue: a local municipal water and sewer bill addressed to the PR, for just one month (or quarter as many are), would be a good document to submit.

Bottom-line: for PRs who comply with the RO based on days physically present in Canada, and who are living in Canada, no need to worry much at all about what proof to submit . . .

. . . just about anything that shows the PR engaged in some activity here in Canada, or some transaction in Canada, or that shows the PR's presence, or that shows residence (government or business communication addressed to the PR showing the PR's residential address is good). The bar is low, very low.

. . . UNLESS there is a reason for IRCC to have concerns about RO compliance in the particular PR's case . . .

See other post for further discussion of this.

I submitted my PR card replacement application on July 17. At the time, the posted processing time was 20 days. Today is August 18, which is the 33rd day since submission, and I have still not received any update. I have not received an Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR), I am unable to link the application to my GC account, and there has been no communication regarding the status. This delay is unusual. Anyone from Mid July got any update ?

I’ve sent my application on July 11th but got no updates or anything yet. My status change to 20 on August 8, I hope it will be in my mailbox tomorrow.

How did you check your status?, I am not able to link it to gc account and on PR portal the status is submitted only

Yes I got mine today. No idea when it was mailed out but it was in my mailbox this afternoon.

Did the updatedAt change to a date later than the original 2025-07-30?

My application submitted on 2025-07-18 hit status 20 (renewals.complete) this week with an updatedAt of 2025-08-18. Then today I got a new updatedAt of 2025-08-20.

I'm wondering if others have seen multiple updatedAt timestamps in the JSON.
