its my reply ...... is it good ?
I am having Approved and legit (Protected Status & 2 years Valid Work Permit) and my Permanent application is in process , I have valid Refugee travel document issued by Canada and its valid till 2027, so technically i am not in above listed options category.
Did you get the visa?

I stated my nationality as stateless but in the next question they ask for:

Your other nationalities

Do you currently hold, or have you ever held, any other nationality or citizenship?
You must provide all the nationalities that you currently hold or have ever held

Should I state my country of birth? if yes when should I enter as end date?

Hello everyone,

Has anyone applied for a UK visitor visa whilst using a Refugee Travel Document (RTD)?

I'd like some guidance as i am planning to visit the UK next year and want to apply for a visa.

I am a protected person on a RTD

Any pointers like website to check, procedure, if i have to submit in person and biometrics required , how long visa processing takes etc.. Just any helpful pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks

If you are a protected person or refugee in Canada and hold a Refugee Travel Document issued under the 1951 Convention, you generally need a UK visa to visit, unless you are exempt (very rare).

  • The RTD is accepted as a travel document for UK visa purposes.
  • UK Standard Visitor Visa (for tourism, family visit, short business trips, etc.).
  • Official page:
    UK Standard Visitor Visa
  1. Apply Online:
    Complete the online application here:
    Apply for a UK visa
  2. Documents Required:
    • Refugee Travel Document (valid for the trip duration).
    • Proof of legal status in (e.g., Refugee/Protected Person confirmation letter, PR card if applicable).
    • Financial proof: Bank statements, employment letter, etc.
    • Travel plans: Flight itinerary, accommodation details.
    • Ties to your country: Job letter, lease, family ties.
  3. Biometrics:
Yes, you must attend an in-person appointment at a UK Visa Application Centre (VAC) in either City or province of residence. This includes:
    • Fingerprints
    • Photo
    • Submission of original RTD and documents
  4. Processing Time:
    • Standard processing: around 15 working days (3 weeks) after biometrics.
    • Some countries offer priority service (5 working days) for an extra fee.
  • Nationality field: When filling the application, select the nationality of your original country but note your RTD details in the travel document section.
  • Some VACs may not accept RTDs for self-service kiosks, but staff will assist.
  • You must use the RTD to travel, not your expired national passport (do NOT apply with an old passport unless explicitly allowed).
  • Standard Visitor Visa (up to 6 months): £115
    (as of July 2025)

Are you actually stateless is the first question? Many seem to choose stateless after they claim asylum or are refugees who are not actually stateless.

how do you answer this question?

Details of your most recent travel

This is about your most recent visit to either Australia, Canada, New Zealand, USA, Switzerland or the European Economic Area

Like my most recent trip was to Italy but also I entered Canada when I returned from Europe. Like Canada is the place I live permanently. Which one Should I enter?
