Hi everyone,
I’m a protected person here in Canada, and I should be getting my PR confirmation soon, maybe in a month or two. I already included my family (who are in Egypt) in my application.
I got a letter saying my family is included in my PR eligibility, and later I got an email from the Canadian embassy asking for some documents for them.
But after that, I haven’t heard anything—nothing about medical exams, biometrics, or any next steps for them.
If anyone has been through this or knows if I’m missing something, please let me know! I’d really appreciate any advice or info.

Processing for dependent family members abroad after you get PR can be quite lengthy. There is some variability when it comes to processing times abroad but sadly you are likely looking at years in most cases.

i was not PR at the time when i applied last year on july. and yes i applied for trv and they got accepted.

The same thing here but from Abu Dhabi just some documents and nothing else. I haven’t heard anything yet but if I do ,I will inform you.

I submitted my claim in November 2018,got my notice of decision in May 2021, PR in April 2023.
I had submitted my application together with my overseas, their biometrics were done in October 2023. I'm so confused, how long does it take for overseas dependents and how is it calculated? Which dates are considered? I miss my daughter

Good day everyone our file has been confirmed to be in Accra visa office they asked for extra documents to conclude the assessment of our application. Which we have provided, do anyone have an idea on the next steps if you’ve been in this situation before.

We haven’t done biometrics or medicals still.

Would someone enlighten me what is the pilot program? Let's say protected person applying for PR (inside Canada) together with their family members (outside Canada). I tried to find out by my own, no luck of finding exact answer. Thanks and appreciate it.
