Study Permit Processing Delays 2025

I applied for my student permit on May 23rd and did biometric on 27th May. My school is starting on 2nd September 2025. My status reads
1. We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility criteria
2. We are processing your background checks, we will send you are a message if we need more information

My question is, do I still stand a chance of getting a decision before September 2nd?

Don't know where you applied from but also factor in passport stamping, and medical if required. So cutting it very close since background check is not completed.

Processing estimates are around 3 months so raise a webform. Talk to school advisor about deferring too.

I don't know each country is different depending on staffing. Could be weeks or months. Passport stamping can take anywhere from 7 to 30 days.
