What is P1 and P2?
Last week I have changed my address , should i raise a webform or should wait for my PR and at that time tell them that I am residing here?
I don't my webform thing to extend my ongoing application process.

once you get P1, you can update the address on the email, similarly on the P2 also you can update the address for the PR card.

Portal 1 or P1 is email received from IRCC IRCC.ClientPortal-PortailClient.IRCC@cic.gc.ca with subject line IRCC - Permanent Residence Portal (PR Confirmation) / Portail de résidence permanente d’IRCC (confirmation de la RP) – App# XXXXXXXXX
below is on the body of message, you need to respond to same email providing all information.

Name as it appears on your passport:✓ Height in centimetres:

✓ Eye Colour:

✓ UCI:

✓ Personal email (one for the whole family):

Good news! We are ready to finalize your status as a permanent resident (PR) in Canada through our secure online Permanent Resident Portal.

To complete the above you will be asked to:

  • confirm that you are currently residing in Canada
  • provide your current mailing address in Canada so that we can mail you your permanent resident card
  • upload a photo in a digital format that will be used for your permanent resident card
  1. Sign in to the portal using the username and password below:
    • Username: “your email address here”
    • Temporary password: XXXXXXX
      • This password will expire in 30 days.
      • After you sign in, you need to choose a permanent password.You’ll use this new password to sign in again.
  2. You have seven (7) days from the date of this email to confirm you're in Canada, provide your mailing address in Canada and submit your PR card photo
Once you submit your information, it will be reviewed by IRCC.

  • An IRCC case worker will send you a message if further information is required; the message will come from an email address ending in @cic.gc.ca. To avoid missing our emails, check your junk or spam folder.
  • When your information is approved by IRCC, your PR card will be printed and mailed to you.

Congratulations! You are now a permanent resident (PR) of Canada! IRCC has uploaded an electronic copy of your electronic confirmation of permanent residence (eCoPR) document in the PR Confirmation Portal. The eCoPR document is proof of your PR status and you will be able to use this document while you wait for your first PR card that will be sent to you in the mail.

You can now download your eCoPR document through the Permanent Residence Confirmation Portal by clicking the link below and signing in to your account
