Visit visa rejection for parents and minor sibling last year, reapplying as I am pregnant.

My husband and I applied for visit visa for my parents and a minor sister last year, Feb 2024 which got rejected. They are from Pakistan. The reason for visit was to visit their daughter (me) for emotional support and to spend some time together after two back to back miscarriages that I had. The reason for rejection was 'not satisfied that you would leave Canada as: you have significant ties in Canada and the purpose of visit to Canada is not consistent with the temporary stay given the details provided in the application'.

Supporting documents we submitted included: Family: bank balance, pay slip, property documents, employment letter, tax return, marriage certificate, proof of enrollment at school for minor sister.
Sponsor: husband's bank statements, doctors letter as a proof of miscarriages and an invitation letter

I would appreciate your advice as I would be reapplying for them as I am currently pregnant again and the pregnancy is high risk. They plan to visit close to the due date.

1. Should I mention 'to meet their grandchild' as the reason for visit or 'assist during pregnancy and postpartum period'
2. Is it appropriate to apply for a minor sister along with parents or does it increase the chances of rejection? Should I apply as a group or separately?
3. Is there anything else I can do to prove their temporary stay?

Any advice would be appreciated!

So what has changed since the refusal and how are you addressing the reasons for refusal. How long is visit? How much in cash did they show?

3. Chances of approval - their own funds (cash in personal accounts), ties to return (job letter with approved leave, business, income properties, children), strong travel history (UK, US, NZ, AUS).

Maybe only have mother apply if she has a good job, cash in her own bank account, family ties and travel history.

If PR, why not supervisa for parents.

Your husband can’t sponsor them. There is no sponsorship for normal TRVs. Whether they can visit is primarily determined by their own profile. No matter what the GCMS notes your best options is to only apply for your mother to visit or file for a supervisa for both your parents. Those are likely your best options. Insurance is expensive because it gets used. Your parents/mother should purchase insurance even if visiting on a normal visitor visa unless you have significant extra savings where you could pay out of pocket if they had a medical emergency.

So what in their own profiles have changed, not you or your husband? Husband cannot sponsor them.

Honestly would consider just one parent applying and see if approved.

You/your husband cannot "sponsor" a visitor visa.
The PA needs to show tie and fund to support the trip. With the fund, I think you will have bigger chance to apply visitor visa for your mother only. Then there will be family tie (husband) to home country and enough fund (28,000 for 1 person). Show itinerary plan.

She should still get travel health insurance if her TRV is approved.
If you think that supervisa insurance is expensive, the actual cost of any treatment in Canada is much more. So make sure that she is covered in case of any emergency .
