I’m gathering documents for my foreign work experience and had a quick question regarding bank statements. Did anyone here include them in your submission?

I’m wondering if it’s necessary to show bank statements for all 3 years of salary deposits. In my case, not all of my salary was paid into my bank account. I can only show:

  • 2 months of salary deposits from 2019
  • 1 month from 2020
  • 3 months from 2021
  • And my final salary deposit in 2022
Would this be an issue? I also only have 3 pay stubs I kept from the 3-year period as I no longer have access.
Any advice or shared experiences would be really appreciated—thank you!

You are not required to submit them at all, they are just nice to have.

A reference letter which states how much you were paid is a strict requirement.
yes I have those! But with the way IRCC has become strict with foreign work experience...I feel like i do need to add supporting documents to prove I worked at the company.

Yes, you may but don't overkill it.
Hi I’m having the same issue. I’ve in total 3 years of experience but I was paid in cash for first two years and since the last year my salary is being credited in the bank. For my pr application, I’ve decided to put only last 6 months paystubs and bank statements. Will that be okay? I’m anxious as ircc is highly scrutinising nowadays. I do have all other docs like tax forms, reference letter, id card, etc.

It can be an issue. You want to show bank and tax statements to prove you were paid and not under the table. Only 6 months of paystubs to prove 3 years of work experience is not a lot. All you can do is see what happens.

You are okay if you have a valid reference letter.

Hi the employer is the same for all 3 years. I can include the cash certificate and paystubs for first two years too but don’t want to complicate my case at first instance. So thought of going with only last recent 6 months paystubs and bank statements rather than mixing cash certificates and bank statements. Is that a good approach? Or there are high chances the officer will ask for more later on? Pl advise. I’ll be attaching tax documents and all other docs for all three years though
