I received an Invitation to Apply (ITA) under the Federal Skilled Worker program in early May and submitted my eAPR at the end of June. Recently, I noticed that IRCC has updated the minimum proof of funds requirement.

I had shown funds in my bank account that are still higher than the revised minimum requirement. However, I am unsure about the exact amount I declared in the application as the settlement funds I intend to bring to Canada.

Given this change, I would like to clarify:

  • Do I need to update the amount through a webform or submit new bank certificates?
  • Is any action required from my side at this stage considering that the funds I had shown still exceed the new threshold?

I would appreciate your guidance on whether a revision or resubmission via webform is necessary in light of the updated proof of funds requirement.

Hi,

No Immediate Action Required IF:
The funds you declared are still available and liquid in your account(s).

The amount you declared was above the new threshold (even if you don’t remember the exact figure).

You haven’t withdrawn or moved a significant portion of those funds since submission.

If you're still concerned about any discrepancy or want to proactively reassure IRCC:

Send a Webform with:

A brief explanation that your declared settlement funds continue to exceed the new minimum.

Optionally, attach updated bank statements or a new bank certificate showing that the current balance is still above the required threshold.
