Hi
I have applied for parents supervisa on 1st June 2025, I have obtained insurance (Rimi - Secure Travel) with installments and paid the initial premium and insurance fee. Installment starts from the date of the policy start date.
My question is, I noticed that on insurance policy confirmation document (which i have attached) it does not mention the payment terms as installments, it just shows policy is active, total premium and initial premium paid, coverage details etc. there is no explicit mention of policy being paid in installment, is it ok? Please reply, I am concerned. Has anyone opted for instalment insurance here? What your document says?

This is so frustrating! I don’t see any processing for April onwards applications. If anybody has any news/update/rumors to share please do so, to keep our hopes high
Yes it is. I spoke with ircc call center rep on july 4 . As per her eligibility and background completed and file awaiting final review by officer. No update ok tracker for the background.
It’s frustrating

There is a backlog. Your parents are potentially getting an up to 5-7 year visit (very generous) so a few months processing is really not a lot. It is also a visit so not typically urgent. Given the volume of parents attempting to remain in Canada IRCC is trying to ensure that parents do have ties to return home after their visit which they are expected to do. Also expected to return if they need longterm medical care or can’t secure/pay for supervisa insurance given supervisa insurance is only emergency medical coverage.

Me and my wife applied for super visa of my in-laws from India on May 15, tracker shows background verification is in progress. Eligibility and Medical has not been started.

My Time line:
Application Submitted: May 15, 2025
BIL: May 15, 2023 (For MIL), May 23 2025(For FIL)
Date of biometrics enrolment:
May 27, 2025
Date of Biometrics Completed: June 6, 2025 (For MIL), May 27, 2025 (For FIL)
Biometrics Passed: Completed
Medicals Passed:
Waiting for Medical letter
Final Decision: in Progress

I am worried that there is no activity since June 6 and BGV is taking too long.

That should be ok. I have taken insurance from Goose (Broker for Lloyds) and on installments. As long as policy document shows that it starts from intended date of landing and is valid for 365 days - it should be good. Mode of payment is a concern for you and the insurance company/broker. I don't think IRCC will be concerned with that as long as the Agent/Broker is authorized by them.
