Hello everyone, I have a question regarding the mandatory declaration for OCI application in 2025. It says "With reference to my OCI application file reference number …………………………, I hereby declare..."

1. What is the file reference number? On my partially filled online application page, I see 2 different application IDs. One of them starts with "CAN..."

2. I also never had a Voter ID or Ration Card. Should I mentioned this in the declaration form?

I don't see any information on this anywhere. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you everyone!

Thanks, I see two different number one when in the list where you see the partially filled application and one when you actully upload documents, which one should i user?

I am having the same issue right now. Did you find an answer to this? I see 2 different application IDs. One of them starts with "CAN..."

I am not sure if you are referencing to the correct Declaration form because it clearly states OCI Application No CANV....
You will need to select option 'I have never acquired Indian Voter ID and Ration Card based on my priorIndian nationality.' if you never had one.

Just got update yesterday that it is (In Transit from Consulate General to BLS Centre) in BLS website. No update on OCI website yet.

Mississauga. Change now to Ready for Collection/Courier. Hope it gets shipped tonight and get it delivered tomorrow.

My applications granted on 4th July are now showing ‘in transit to consulate general’ on bls site.
No change so far on the oci portal.

Hi, What is the current ETA for getting the e-Visa India? Does it consider weekends or all weekdays only? Also, is the Surrender Certificate mandatory to initiate e-Visa? I was thinking to surrender in India, thanks

Once dispatched from printing cell, the next update will be when OCI is received at Mission/Consulate/FRRO. Once they receive it, they will then send it to the BLS office where the OCI application was submitted. Once BLS office receives it, there will not be anymore updates on OCI website. You should then check BLS website for updates. They will update once they receive OCI from Consulate. Then again BLS will update the status when OCI is ready for collection or dispatched by courier. They will provide the tracking ID in a note there if sent by courier. You may also receive an email with the tracking number. Hope it helps.

Do you know how long it takes to receive here at consulate after OCi printed??
