No updates on Super Visa application

Hello All!

I need your suggestions on the best course of action here. I have submitted a Super Visa application for my parents back, the processing time has exceeded the timelines posted on IRCC website and there's not a single update on the application. Just says background in progress. The last updated timestamp on the tracker is the day after submission. What's even more annoying is that my parents were Super Visa holders until last year when the visa expired due to expiry of passport. The expired visa, their first Super Visa, was processed in lesser time than we have spent waiting on this application. We haven't done medicals upfront. Should I just proceed with the medicals instead of waiting for the request?

Feeling very helpless. Really wanted my parents to spend some time with us during this summer. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

Medicals: Not done upfront but no request yet

There is no guaranteed processing times. You are within the normal processing time for many countries. There is nothing you can do but wait. Would recommend doing the medicals because it is a bit strange that the medicals haven’t been processed if they haven’t already done one in the past year.

I am in the similar situation. I submitted Super visa application for my parents on January 1st, 2025. They hold visitor visa to biometric was carried over but I haven't received Medical request yet. It has been almost double the processing time.

No they haven't done it yet. I received an reply on the secord webform and they reassured that application is still under process and I should wait for them to ask any documents if necessary.

Would suggest calling IRCC and having your application flagged. You should have received biometrics and/or medical request by now.

I applied on April 15th and haven't heard anything since then. What's the process of getting medical done earlier if you don't mind sharing and should they do it?

I submitted my mother's super visa application on Apr 02 and her medical got updated on June 30 (first update on portal after 3 months) and again no update after that.

I have submitted upfront medical for my parents supervisa application submitted on 09 Apr 2025 , on 24 July their medical got passed and updated , any one could please let me know what is further step and how long it will take Thanks.
