Hello everyone, my husbands family is currently in Pakistan. They are Afghan refugees, Hazara. We have an ongoing process with a SAH in Canada. The sponsor group was approved within 3 month, we got the G numbers and the applications were send to the embassy in Islamabad 1 month ago. We are aware of the process (interview, medical..) but would like to ask if someone has been in a similar situation in Pakistan and their timeline. Is there always an interview requested? Could it be online? The road to Islamabad is much dangeours and also they deport Afghans in Pakistan now, even thou they have a refugee card as they are registered refugees. Can an email be sent to IRCC by the SAH for urgent process? Would it help? I know IRCC has many applications to work with but we worry alot for our family which includes a widow and a little 3 year old girl. Thanks for all information.

Hello I don't want to make you worried but SAH refugees take a lot of time and by that I mean years my application was submitted since 2023 and we have done everything medicals and interviews everything and still waiting so it's a frustrating process especially for endangered refugees who applied please be very patient because it does take a lot of time.

I doubt they will be processing your case with urgency, because there are many refugees who go under private sponsorship in Pakistan, but I think your sponsoring group can send email with good reason and possible supporting documents.

Hi, I really hope you get a positive decision soon. From which country are you applying? How long from sponsor approval until interview and then medical? How long was the interview? Could you share some of their questions?

Nothing yet we applied since 2023, it was one year between the sponsor approval and the interview after one month we done the medicals it is cairo visa office, the interview was good and they asked about everything literally everything related to our case it was something usual don't worry but it requires time so be patient still in process with no decision

Thank you for your answer. It is much difficult when you know that your family is in constant danger.
