Hello Folks,
I have completed my 3 years eligibility period and I am applying for my citizenship along with my 4 years old son who I sponsored to come to Canada along with his mom and my wife. Both of them have been here since 14 Aug 2023 (20 months) and haven't left Canada since then. Mom will apply when she will complete her 3 years but I believe I can apply for my son and he doesn't need to complete 2 years for his RO and 3 years for his eligibility because by default he is eligible to apply for being my son alongside me .
Now, in the application for minor there is question
"Has the minor been outside of Canada for a total of 730 days or more (2 years or more) in the past five (5) years or since becoming a permanent resident?" Yes or No
I don't now should I answer this as Yes or No. technically he has been outside Canada in past 5 years for 1105 days (from 5 aug 2020 to 13 aug 2023) which is more than 730 days because he was not a PR and did his landing on 14 AUG 2023 and at the same time has not been outside canada for even a day let alone 730 days since becoming PR . I think answer should be No but would really appreciate if someone who was in the same boat or any senior member can answer
