How hard can it be to sort a computerized list of applications based on filing date?
To me its sounds like they are sending out PPR's to old ones first followed by applicants with security and criminality complete (this is probably the reason why we see random PPR's), people with eligibility cleared, applicants that added new dependents, complex applications, and so on.

I wonder if anyone has any insight to my situation. I'm a FSW-Outland with an AOR is Dec 5th, 2020. They requested an RCMP record check on January 13, 2021, which I uploaded a few weeks later. In the interim I have had literally no communication from IRCC, and my GCMS notes as of September, 2021 showed that my application had not been touched since January, 2021. In October, 2021 I submitted a webform (along with a word document) alerting them to the fact that I had left my job - I know I didn't need to but thought it didn't hurt to update them.

This Monday I received an email that said "We successfully received your document." My status on the portal for Review of Additional Documents changed to read: "January 10, 2022 - We are reviewing the additional documents you provided."

Initially I thought maybe this was another confirmation of my webform document, but then if occurred to me that they might actually be referring to the RCMP document I uploaded last January. Any guesses? Would they ever send an email and change my ADR status in reference to an unsolicited document uploaded as a webform?

FWIW my Background Check status reads: "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." I know I am a silly goose for not remembering what the previous status was, but I did some research on this. Initially I was excited because I thought I was in the IP2 phase, but now think maybe it always read this and I am still in a False IP2 phase (I learned these phrases from this super helpful thread). Basically, if I can answer the question in the paragraph above, I feel like I will know if I can in a real or false IP2 phase. Thanks for the help - especially @legalfalcon.

These threads are the only thing keeping me sane right now.

Nov AOR 2020, file last touch in Jan 2021. Got 3 GCMS notes. Same shit. Don't assume anything with these updates. The only updates that matters are ADR, re medical request/extension, and PPR.

Yeah :(

I spent the Monday getting myself whipped up into a lather and the rest of the week with my balloon deflating. Lowered expectations = less disappointment. Good luck!

Leaked IRCC document said average processing time for FSW is 21 months and for PNP is 15 months. Also both FSW and PNP backlog grew from Oct to Nov despite paused draws. I don't know why anybody would get their hopes up under the current circumstances. Advance with your plan B and consider Canada when you get your PPR next year.

You don't need a leaked document to know that.

I actually know a few people who've gotten PPRs within 8 months and that too in 2020-21. Anyways, I just wanted to get a rough idea about the progress on my case.
Yes, we all know a few people who fell in this category but those are exceptions not norms. In covid era, applications are taking average of 15 months. That's the new normal  .

Unfortunately, no one here can really give you a rough idea of how your case has progressed. You'll need to call IRCC directly or apply for GCMS notes again.

They do not update your GCKey with any documents sent via webform. The only way to be sure they got webform uploads is via email confirmation, or notations in GCMS notes.

You can assume the change in your GCKEy pertains to the ADR you uploaded in January 2021. It doesn't necessary mean that they are just receiving it, it could just be a very late update of status.

Okay, couple of things. What you see in Portal and what the reality is on your file are/can be two different things. Sometimes things happen and they are not updated in portal. So BGC Processing status etc are very misleading these days. If you want a real status get a GCMS notes and/or ask for updates from ircc on phone.

Now coming to your FSW document thing : Well, it is likely that your app has been picked up after an aeon of inactivity.

I applied on 27th September, my BIOMETRICS were available on file but not my wife's. She get her Biometric request on 10th of Nov and she submitted those. We saw "Biometrics passed : 3rd of November". :|
