HELP!! Valid Visa on Passport, but Renewed Passport in Advance.

Hello,

I have a study permit valid till 2025, and my temporary residence visa that got issued is valid till September 2022, however the visa is issued on an old passport, as in, I've renewed it 9 months in advance. My country doesn't do visa transfers across passports and I don't understand why I should apply for a new visa when I already have one that's valid for nearly another year.

Can I just carry both the old passport with the valid visa and my new renewed passport when I travel ? Any helpful responses would be appreciated.

Yes, you can carry both passports and travel to Canada.
