Daily Commuter: Vancouver / Washington State

Just curious if anyone currently doing daily commute between Vancouver and Washington State can share his or her experience. If I am planning on living in the Greater Vancouver Area and commuting to the US side for work (working remotely for a US company outside of Washington state), where is the best place to live (as home office) in Washington state on the US side?

Hello ccaallvviinn,
Did you happen to find a place to stay in the US Side, I visited Blaine , Bellingham, Ferndale but was not sure of the place to stay where Indians are living, I also am considering doing the same and was wondering where I shall try to stay in US near the Canada border .

Many people complains about housing prices in Metro Vancouver. Why not consider moving somewhere in AB instead?

Hi there, I am trying to do the same. My company is far from the USA border too. So getting my h1-b ammended for remote work from Washington. Let me know if you find something good both sides and would like to connect outside of this forum.

You raised a good point, yes H1B needs to be amended , also if your office is in Bellevue/ Seattle, office location would remain the same but home address you would need to update, I haven't reached that far yet

Thank you. My company is in California so my home office address will be permanent work location address in Washington for h1b ammendament.

Hey guys, I am planning to do it in 2022. I do not have BC car yet and driving WA car, so possibly will take Amtrak/Bus until I get BC license and Car.

It will be great if we create a whatsapp group or something.

I am planning to commute from Vancouver to Bellevue. I know its 2hours drive one way and sometime 3hrs depending upon queue at border. I might not commute daily but 3 days a week.

Hi, were you able to file the amendment?? When you are say that permanent work location address in washington, did you give your friends address or you have your own place there?
