Lol, The election was months ago, they spent a long time on vacation, worked for like a month, and now went on break until jan. 31st. Easiest job ever.

Today someone said he did an upfront medical and it has reflected in his profile. His exact words:

‘’I did an upfront remedical 4 Dec and sent IRCC notice. They added it to ky file

Just logged in and saw medicals passes on 17 Dec’’
I think I will just wait. No hurry.

Understandable for parliament. IRCC can’t afford to do this
Yes, gov. departments will still work and most likely IRCC already have orders for what to do next. Unfortunately there won’t be any pressure to release their plans until February.

Isn’t the plan derived from the mandate letter?
The mandate letters are goals, not really what their plan of action is. Lawyer groups and some MP were pressing them on what their plan was to actually achieve what stated, other than just throw money at the problem.

Parliament back on Jan 31st doesn't mean IRCC back on jan 31st. Two completely different things.
Sure. I expect IRCC staff to go on a very short break and resume actively early January. They have a backlog to work on and the mandate letter has prioritized this. They need to raise their sleeves and get working ASAP

After recent announcements, it's still not clear what is going to happen with the CEC draws in 2022? Will we see low scores again?

I expect IRCC to sleep on my application for an indefinite period of time. Isn't that the official narrative for now? Or am I missing something? I'm not getting my hopes up again. Being pessimistic about IRCC pays more than being optimistic
