Hi everyone,
I took the citizenship test 3 days ago, got 17/20 and it just changed today as "completed" on the tracker. The thing is I took the test in a public library and didn't pay attention on the fact that I must pass the test fully cleared face. So obviously, due to covid measures, i took the test with my face covered with my mask... I didn't realise only after when I read again terms and conditions on ircc website. Do you think that the test will automatically get cancelled ? :(

Hi - I took the test on 19 Nov and the test status got changed to Completed today. However, only when I was about to submit the test, I realized that my entire face wasn't visible on the webcam. I don't know for how long it was like that. I do remember that when I started the test, I ensured that my face was at the centre. I think I must have moved a bit when I was taking the test. My question is, now that my test status has changed to Completed, are there chances that I might be asked to do the test again?

Hello

I have a few questions about the citizenship test.
1. My webcam is a bit blur, although it is an almost new 1-year-old laptop. Is it ok. or do I have to buy a new webcam or a new laptop.
2. When I try to take a photo of id card via webcam, it shows in reverse order ('ambulance' on vehicles written as 'ecnalubma' ). Is it normal?
3. Can I attach a mouse to my laptop for doing the test as I feel comfortable working with the mouse.
4. When I try to take a photo of Id. It is hard to take a photo of my id without me in the background. Please suggest.

Anything that I have to take care of for the test. Thank you.

Hi all, given that my test was updated to "Complete" in my tracker, I just wanted to answer a couple of questions that I've seen on here in case it helps anyone!

1. I accidentally kept my email open in another tab while taking the test. This was not an issue. I did not try to close it when I noticed it, though; I stayed on the exam page the whole time.
2. I was partially visible behind my ID in the picture (no face, but I didn't try to hide from the camera or anything). This was not an issue.
3. I did not receive a confirmation email. You have to check the tracker.

Feel free to ask me any questions. Happy to help where I can!
@VictorCA

Congrats.

I wanted to know, what id did you use PR Card or driving licence.
And How clear was the id , when you take photo in green box, as most of the laptops have poor webcam quality and can’t take high resolution photo of id.
Did you use PC / Windows laptop / Mac / ipad ?

Thanks

Hello everyone ...

I have a question: I am preparing to take my test in the next few days ... But something is scaring me:

Several times in a few topics on this site, I have met people who complain that their test was canceled because of the image quality not very clear ... Or for the quality of the photo of the identity document not very clear, or the photo that should be taken at the start of the test of the person ...

These stories bother me because the built-in camera that I have in my laptop is not excellent, not very high resolution (0.9 MP 16: 9 1280 * 720 as better quality in windows 10 settings for images. .. The quality is better for the videos, but it seems to me that the citizenship test takes pictures randomly during the test, and not videos, does it?).

- Is there a risk that my test will be refused because of the quality of my integrated camera?

- Are there any minimum resolution specifications for the camera that are required by IRCC? (No indication on their site).

Thank you.

, Piotr.
@piotrqc

Did you do your test and what is the status.
I have tested more than 10 laptops , and all have resolution not more than 0.9 MP.

90% of the laptops have poor webcam quality. And taking the photo of the id in that green box is the challenging. Moreover, the picture quality is not good in most cases. I hope they understand this and approve results.
Thanks

I used my PR card and my work laptop (Windows). The picture wasn't in HD, but the text was readable. As long as it's not blurry and can be read, you should be fine. I did retake it a few times until I was satisfied.

Hi guys, I am currently abroad. From my status tracker I saw few days ago I was invited to get the Citizenship test with test window between December 08 and December 28. I was waiting for something to my email but I did not get anything. Today is December 09 and I still did not get anything through email. I sent a webform but I am worried they will take days to process. Did anybody get into the same situation? What do you recommend to do? Please help.

I did my test from India yesterday. Email CIC that you are outside Canada and they will allow you to do the test from there. CIC hasn't updated its system yet, so you will have to check the option that you are physically present in Canada while taking the citizenship test. The email form CIC will have this mentioned as well. Email address is IRCC.WestCitizenshipEApp-EappOUESTCitoyennete.IRCC@cic.gc.ca. Even though the invite documents ask you to email within 24 hours of receiving the invite, I emailed them after 3 days.
