I am in the same boat, we completed our tests in March and since then Radio Silence. Our processing office is Vancouver and we are nearing our 2 year mark as well. I have now sent my PR card for renewal as I have given up hope that we will be invited for oath this year. Now, lets see which process finishes faster.
Same with us , when the test invitation came up in April I was so excited I even started thinking about possible vacation destinations for Summer considering a 60-90 day from test to oath :(, now I am thinking may be I should drop the plans even for next year, the fact that the recent applicants are getting oath is another factor for the added frustration.

Has anyone recently called IRCC? Are they still giving excuse of Afghan crisis for not working on citizenship files?
From their website, it seems to be the case. IRCC use any excuse to cover their incompetency. 20,000 refugees need one month maximum to process their files, but in Canada it takes months. I suspect they are intentionally prolonging the processing times so they can relax at their homes and let the applicants suffer because they don't matter and they are less than humans to IRCC.

I tried calling them today to update my travel history for PR card renewal and they are still busy with Afghan refugees. So in a nutshell I am not going to try calling them until beginning of next year as this seems a lost cause now. I am just banking on some extraordinary luck that the officer finally opens and processes our citizenship application, clearly we are the forgotten lot!

It absolutely sucks and I was excited as well. I am now just angry and frustrated at how there is no accountability or integrity involved with this process anymore. It's great that recent applicants are finishing their process but its unfair that we will continue waiting on this journey which has no end date at all.

I think we when we become Canadian citizens need to use our rights and voices to try to change the system and rules from which IRCC operate. Without clear timelines to finish files and transparency of what's going on, this whole process will continue to inflict emotional sufferings to applicants ages to come.

I received the email test invite this morning. I am a little confused: the email says if I am outside Canada, I should email them within 24 to 48 hours. This is a strange expression. Does it mean I have to email within the 24-48 window and no earlier than 24 hours? That looks counterintuitive. But if it means within 48 hours, why need the 24?
......

because it's a generic template, some people receive the email 72 hours before the start window..

when do updates usually occur on the tracker ?
is it morning or afternoon . or is there no rhyme or reason to how the government do it ?

I guess they meant atleast email them before 24-48 hours, I guess they might have a special link sent out to people who are outside Canada, so I would email them right away telling them that you are outside and let them take it from there , if you get no response then shoot another email in that window that way you wouldnt be waiting for them to work within that window.
