I am losing age points this November which is very frustrating. Maxed out IELTS, 3+ years of work experience, Master's degree + partner with the same credentials. If we don't make it to Canada due to the 5 points we'll lose in November I will remember Mendicino's face for the rest of my life :)
You should still be safe, you're above the usual threshold

I'll lose 5 points by the end of October!
Me and my spouse maxed out everything possible - IELTS, degree, work ex to get a score of 484. Being thrown out of 480+ bucket will be a bummer!

Thankfully my brother in law may get PR in few months (already applied last month) which will get me to 494

You would get ITA before you ever have need for those extra points

Where are you located ? It is sad that people from certain countries are treated differently.
I am US-based FSW-O applicant, Russian citizenship. I was expecting my application be processed slower because virtually all Russians are sent for security screening and I had one, but this one has been cleared since Nov 2020. So it's been almost a year now since "everything is passed" and no decision from IRCC.
Maybe it's not citizenship. Maybe it's my NOC. Maybe my kids. Maybe I look ugly on my photo lol. I can't find any reasonable explanation why my application is being de-prioritized for so long.

P.S. unequal treatment of people based on their origin is an ugly normal of any immigration system, not just Canada. The green card backlogs for Indians in the US is another example right on the surface. When I did some research around immigration to the UK, the set of requirements for different countries is also different, etc.

I am in the same boat. Also IELTS expires in December. Hope draws happen soon.

IRCC has cleared 100% of the backlog in student visa category.. once they get to it, they can clear the FSW backlog too

Actually students where creating a noise on twitter last year and this year as well.
Students are better than PR folks in getting attention on twitter.
