Same here in india as well,people have given up masks and vaccination rate is progressing like a turtle’s walk thanks to the amazing government !
Looking at what is happening around the world I do not know what to think about Covid anymore. It is a virus that caused a lot economic loss, it has cost a lot of lives etc. However now we do not see as many hospitalisations etc. We will see what will happen soon
Eventually we will adapt to fully to living with it. We’ll be fine in the long run, as long as someone doesn’t decide to be overly adventurous in a lab or someone else doesn’t decide to eat a bizarre animal

I won't say progressing at a snail pace. Its doing 5-6 million doses a day. Thats second fastest in the world after China. Noteworthy is that China will most likely need boosters way sooner as most of its vaccines are not that effective. India however needs to get its diplomacy in order. It needs to ensure that there are no travel restriction on the citizens post vaccination. My parents in India actually got vaccinated (in a Govt hospital no less!) in early to mid 2021 that too with optimal days between vaccines.
Chinese vaccines don't seem to work at all. I have no idea what they are going to do. It will be completely unacceptable for the govt there to open up and have people die. They really should work out a deal with Pfizer or Moderna to manufacture their vaccines there. But I doubt those companies would do it because they don't trust the govt to respect their IP.
In fact I don't think they can tell which country the FSW is from. There 's no point for them to track that information. At this time they are full speed CEC so I wouldn't expect them to filter out the US based FSW and approve them.
To me mask is okay to wear,I’m accustomed to it because of my profession but these lockdowns and shit have not proved useful at all even the covid cases peaked during strict lockdowns!
Sad part is that many ruling parties across the world are using covid as an excuse for every damn thing that are accountable for which is outrageous! Covid won’t go away completely and we are already about to enter the third year of its existence but same old same old lockdowns

I think for countries like Canada, Spain, UK, and the likes, the idea of lockdowns is now totally obsolete. These countries have the best vaccination rates in the world and moving forward they will never revert to the archaic general lockdown approach. Vaccines are here to allow us live near-normal lives again and as we learn more about the virus more effective vaccines will rollout as well.
