I believe Background Verification is the first to be checked after which we will receive test invite, and the rest are going to be completed after the test is done, @rajkamalmohanram can confirm this.

Is your ecas status changed to "In Process"?

Generally, that is the case. Yes. BG checks are completed first and test invite comes after. However, I have seen some cases where test invite is sent and the BG checks are then set to "Completed" but these cases are not very common from what I've been seeing.

I think that explains the wait for 2 months (upto 8 months based on what I have read here!) for the first action to happen on the file after AOR is received.

Language Test results at least should not take 2 months. I have sent the TRF report with the application (even if expired report!) and that is already there in my PR file.

It seems like the systems are not integrated and hence don't talk to each other to share data.

Well for now just thankful that things are In Progress (at least in the new tracker!).... Lol! ;)

Generally speaking, "Language", "Physical Presence" and "Prohibitions" are set to "Completed" only after the test. But again, there are some exceptions. Some applicants saw their "Language" and "Physical Presence" set to "Completed" even before the test and "Prohibitions" was set to "Completed" after the test.

It varies between offices and applicants but yeah. Generally (if you are outside of Quebec), it is okay to assume "Language", "Prohibitions" and "Physical Presence" will be set to "Completed" a few weeks (months?) after the test results are validated. This happens simultaneously with the "Decision Made" update on ECAS.

Surprisingly - I got AOR yesterday, but my online account (the new one) - shows application received on Jun2 2021... found that a bit odd... everything is In Progress - but nothing is showing in the section below except the June 2 update.

Yes I noticed the same. My AOR was received on July 7th. Old ECAS shows Application received on March 30th which is correct.

The new tracker says application created on May 3rd which I think was the date the data was entered into the new tracker.

Location: Edmonton, AB
Physical Presence Days: 1095
Application: Single
Application sent: April 02, 2021
Delivered: Online Application
5 Year Eligibility: 2016 -Apr- 02 t0 2021 -04 -01
AOR: pending

Q1-I first entered canada on January 2018 and never left so does that make me eligible to apply for citizenship?
Q2- I have not received AOR email yet, online status says they are sending AORs to applications received in the week of April 14, 2021. Should I be concerned?
Thank you!
Q1: Your physical presence calculator is your best proof for this, you applied with 1095 and didn't wait any longer, if you didn't travel outside Canada it should be ok, but is recommendable to apply a couple of weeks after you reach the 1095 to have some extra days in case something doesn't match IRCC / Boarder records with the information you provided. Hopefully everything is ok and they will send AOR
Q2: The information in the website applies to paper applications. Online applications have a different schedule and if you check the spreadsheet you will notice that they are sending AORs to 2021 January online applicants, which could give you and indication that you will probably receive AOR in about two or three more months.

Yes, the new dashboard will show your application is in Progress the very next day after receiving AOR. Please check old ECAS and you will see there that your application is at the Application Received stage, it will change to In Process in a couple of months.
