Idid my test in March. Online status changed to DM in May but it's been a few weeks and no update with oath. Anyone with similar timeline in Halifax?

I'm with the Halifax office too. I did my test in February 2021 and received an interview invite for June 1st last week. Hopefully you'll hear about Oath soon. I'm a September 2019 applicant.

I am with Halifax office too! I got DM in May and am still waiting for the oath invite, so it looks normal. :)

Hey I hope your interview went well! Did you get to ask the officer how long it usually take after interview to receive oath ceremony? I think that time frame will also apply to my case that's why I'm asking. Thanks!

Thanks a lot! It went well, I'm still waiting for Ecas to update but hopefully it will happen within the next couple of days. I did ask and I was told that it usually takes about 4 to 8 weeks. The scheduling is done by Ottawa, which then informs the Halifax office which then sends out emails to applicants. I was told that I would get an email for an invite about 2 weeks before the event which basically puts the overall wait time to 4 to 8 weeks depending on how fast they schedule. I hope that helps and I hope that we all hear about Oath invites soon!

Halifax seems to be slow. I did my interview June 10th & from what the interviewer said, I should be expecting the oath in Sept. I'm a Dec 2019 applicant

@zeyzey6 , @Pigu , @Nova Scotia

is there any progress in your cases ? i feel like Halifax office isn't processing cases and everyone stuck
Nothing. Absolutely nothing has changed. They told me that all the categories in my online profile would turn to complete within 3 days, nothing changed, the profile hasn't even been updated since May. They told me I would hear about oath in 4 to 8 weeks and it's been almost 6 weeks and I have not heard anything. And they told me that if I had any questions I could always email them back; well, they don't even answer their emails anymore. So I don't believe anything they say anymore and it's beyond frustrating at this point.

Thank you so much. I hope you hear about an oath invite really soon too. I'm so hopeless and fed up. I think I'll order my third GCMS notes tonight and call our MP's office tomorrow to see what they'll say.

Sorry I was away from the forum for a few days... My test was in March and DM in May, now 4 months after the test and 2.5 months after DM, nothing happened... :(

@zeyzey6 I see many people said contacting MP could be helpful, but I am just curious that we are not Canadians yet, why would MPs care about us? :p Btw have you heard from your MP yet? :)

Ironically when I called them when 8 weeks had passed, they told me "there is no such timeline"...

May I ask which email did they mean? The same email they sent us the test invite? I know they are not likely to reply but I might have a try... :(

Sorry, I'm just seeing these. I called the call centre yesterday and they told me that it's odd that I still don't see anything completed online and that they would internally send IRCC Halifax an email. I doubt that it will change anything but I'm going to wait for a week and see what happens.

I did email my MP about 7 times. It's always the same excuses; Covid, Halifax office is experiencing a lot of delays, etc. etc. I'm really sorry that you still haven't heard either. Deep down I was hoping that this was just my bad luck and that they had already sent you the oath invite. I'm so sorry for providing you inaccurate information that the interviewer gave me.

I agree with you on the MP. I don't think they care, they try calling IRCC on our behalf to get information but the amount of information that they got me was less than what I could get with GCMS notes. What drives me insane is that my husband is a born Canadian and has voted for our MP twice now so I hoped that they would take him seriously when he asked but nothing changed :D I'm going to wait till next Monday. If nothing changes I'm going to call our MP's office. Maybe they'll take me more seriously on the phone.

Here is the email that they sent me my interview invitation from:
CIC-Halifax@cic.gc.ca
I'm really crossing my fingers for you.

Thank you for the update , Halifax office is frustrating , don't understand why they are delaying everyone including people reached decision made
