I am getting "Please enter a valid Application reference number " error form very first day
But Only BLS i can see status which changed to "Ready for dispatch" today not sure , what does it mean ,

From Date you submit the Application i.e. Application Sign date
Well, BLS will only dispatch to you. I am able to check my application at PSK website.
It was Under review. Then changed to PCC inititated at local police station.
Then changed back to Under Process in consulate. No police visit or call or text on the indian phone number. Still the same status.
By any chance, was your passport renewed in Canada or the US? Earlier (Before april) applicants whose passprt were renewed outside India were given PCC based on that consulate that renewed the passport and no PCC was initiated in India. But, since it was changed, fresh PCCs were procured every time.
The system is wonky, so lets just hope for the best and I wish that you get your PCC without hassle
1- So Looks like BLS received my PCC and ready to dispatch to me.
2- I am already a Canadian Citizen (from 2017 onwards) but because of some Official requirement I applied for PCC. So looks like For Canadian Citizens CGI issue the PCC from Toronto only (Not sure though) As in my case no one contacted at India Address neither ARN is showing in Passport portal site.
Ok, Yes so that is likely what happened. Since you are already a Canadian citizen, your PCC will follow slightly different path. CGI will issue it themselves.

Shows under processing- May 14
Sent to consulate -May 17
Application under review - May 19
Details sent to Police Station in Delhi- May 22
As for now no one contacted my parents in India for the verification. Its been a week already. Hoping it will happen next week. Will provide update.

If under consulate then , open page where you filled online application ie: https://portal4.passportindia.gov.in/Online/index.html
Under that you’ll see Track Application window
You can fill you details and know your application status
If you don’t know your ARN number, you can log in USER LOGIN window of the same page.
Scroll down the new page that open - wait for few seconds - A new window will appear which will show you ANR & file number with other details
Press the circle Under select section- it will ask option track you application
My timeline so far -
- Shipped using FedEx - May 3
- Delivered at BLS Brampton - May 4
- Status available online at BLS application tracker - May 14 ie 8th business day from receipt of application
- Status available at passportindia website - May 16 (PCC application and fee details received at consulate. Under process.)
- Processing at consulate - May 19
- Police verification initiated - May 21
- Police verification is clear. PCC ready to be issued. - May 31

04-May-2021 docs reached BLS Brampton office
12-May-2021 docs forwarded to Indian Embassy/Consulate
13-May-2021 Application for PCC with applicable fees is received
14-May-2021 PCC application is under review at Indian embassy/consulate - File No. CAT0843.. generated on same day.
Since then no update its been almost 18 calendar days I see same status and police verification is not initiated & haven't received any email from Passport Admin.
Can anyone please suggest how I can proceed, I have emailed to BLS however they replied back stating they have submitted to Indian Consulate and nothing they can do from their end, I have to wait 6-8 weeks for process completion
Note: I have applied for my spouse as well at the same time & same address both of us hold in India, her application got processed as above mentioned dates and 15-May-2021 she received Passport Admin email as well and police verification completed on 19-May-2021, awaiting for status change.
Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

For my application though, submitted on the same day to BLS, the application status is still under review in Consulate. I did receive an email though that PCC has been initiated and status changed as well to 'PCC Initiated. Please contact Police station". But in couple of days it changed back to Under review in Consulate. I did however receive an email from Police Station (Wakad, Pimpri Chinhwad, Pune) asking me to call them for PCC . I will post a detailed timeline shortly.
Hi All, I wanted to give an update on my PCC applications in case anyone finds it helpful. I have two applications (I and Wife) and they are both following different timelines even though they were submitted on the same day.
I have two applications for PCC.
Application 1 - Wife's - Needs to go to Borivali PS, Mumbai
23th April - Application delivered to BLS by purolator
7th May Status available on BLS. - Friday
10th May- Monday Status on PSK/Embassy website changed to 'Fees and documents received and is under process'
12th May - Wednesday- PCC sent to Indian Police Station.
18th May - I realize that i selected the Wrong Police station on application. (Borivali - Incorrect PS)
19th May- My wife's parents go to Borivali station and ask them to route it to the correct Police station. (Done on the spot by a mouse click)
20th May- My wife's parents receive a call to come to the 'correct' police station and submit documents. (All Passports(active and expired), PAN, Adhar)
27th May - CGI/PSK website showed status as ' PCC is Clear and ready for issuance'
29th May - PCC is Printed
30th May - On BLS- In transit from CGI to BLS Bramptom
31st May - Ready for Dispatch
31st May - Purolator Airway Bill available at BLS application tracking
1st June (10: AAM) - Delivered by Purolator express.
Application 2- Mine (Needs to Go to Hinjewadi PS, Pune)
7th May Status available on BLS. - Friday

05/12.. Same status as Monday
05/14 - Status Changed to Under Process in Consulate.

I will call him tonight and see what is the next process or step. OPne thing to note is that i had given my father's phone number on the application, but he did not receive any call or text contrary to my wife's case where her parents received a text as soon as the status changed to PCC has been initiated

In my case I haven't received the passport admin email also though the CATNo. got generated not sure what is going on I have emailed to Toronto & Ottawa consulates today hoping response in 24hrs.. All the best Saurabh
