2020-03-11 Status changed to In Process
2021-03-05 Received online test invitation - from Vancouver Office
2021-03-27 Test Completed (18/20)
2021-04-15 Decision Made
2021-05-20 Received video oath ceremony invitation
2021-06-23 Scheduled ceremony date

In case anyone wanna know, I didn't call IRCC nor ordered GCMS notes for my citizenship application. I just keep checking the online application service and the new tracker they sent out recently.

I actually sent out notice of unavailability in December 2020 via webform due to a family emergency, but not sure if they take that into consideration because I won't be back until September 2021. So it was a big dilemma when I received the test invite in March. After doing some research on this forum, I decided to fly back to complete the test. I feel like postponing the test would be too risky, although it was not a good time to travel around plus all the extra costs due to Covid, I still think it was the right decision not to postpone the test. Just wanna share this experience in case anyone is on the same boat.

I have a question regarding my interview request that just came in. These are some of the instructions I received in the email:

“ Before attending this event, submit all original passport(s) pages in colour and travel documents in your possession (current and expired). These must be submitted at least two days before your event date.
 Scan each passport as its own whole document, including all pages in colour, and upload as an PDF email attachment- there are free scanning apps available to download on any smartphone app store
 Failure to provide the consent form and requested documents prior to the date of your scheduled event will result your interview being rescheduled at a later date.”

So I need to get my old passport translated because there’s one stamp that is in neither English or French. Other than that, is it as simple as scanning both passports and just emailing those two PDF files to them? Seems very simple which is why this is worrying me, lol.

Also, I'm out of the country right now and this interview is scheduled for 7 hours after my arrival back in Toronto; I'll be doing to interview while at the Government approved hotel in Toronto. Do you think this presents any issues?

They dont know where you are giving interview from. But even if they ask then you can tell that you are in hotel as part of quarantine.
Requirement is to be inside the country - no issues at hotel/home.

I saw some posts elsewhere complaining about bad internet at some of the GAA quarantine hotels. It might be worthwhile to double-check before booking.

Anybody reported any activity on their file after last week of April, I gave test on 26th April and it has been no activity after that, anyone noticed any activity on their file in May??
