we're in Canada but my spouse's passport will expire in this December 2021. I'm expecting copr around May-June 2021. I don't want to renew passport or change any information because it might cause delay. Any advice @Miss bee ?Atleast 6 months. You must have a valid passport to come to Canada. If your passport expires within 6 months from the day you apply, you should renew it. Then, when you get your new passport, update your passport information in your application. This will ensure it's valid when we process your application, and avoid additional delays
See I told you that you'd have DM on ECAS today morning. Now CoPR depends on Province and the Office which is holding your case, this one will release your copr too. As my research, BC, SK, Manitoba issue very fast (within 2-4days), i'm in Nova Scotia and have been waiting for 2 weeks. I don't have enough research for Yukon but you can go to BBjeon38 's google sheet and search for Yukon's applicant and see the average time.49 %

In this case you should renew your spouse passport as quickly and then send webform to update cic with new passport. Also as you are outland, you can land in Canada until travel restrictions are lifted that will be few more months. So better to renew your spouse passport now .we're in Canada but my spouse's passport will expire in this December 2021. I'm expecting copr around May-June 2021. Congratulations to all who recently received their AOR
My bad . For inland application you they don’t need your passport to finalize your pr application or landing process. You will get COPR through email or in Gckey and with that letter you can apply PR card . If you want to travel outside Canada, then you need a valid passport which is having validity more than 6 months.Sorry. We're inland as I mentioned.
