I don't believe you'd need to pay again.

That's the difference: you make accusations before you check.
Before checking what ? It’s clear that there’s a huge inequality, disparity between us...based on what ? Luck ?

Actually, I had the chance to ask an ex-officer of immigration last week, and she clearly admitted to me that yes, officers are [sometimes/often] biased, especially when it comes to some countries.
We call it (discrimination systémique), institutionalized discrimination in English.
It’s a reality.

For the sake of argument, there’s no discrimination, no one can explain this disparity. Being overwhelmed by work is not an excuse. These people are hurting people, conscientiously or not.

They will not refund all my money, because they already started processing my file (still during the process of the admissibility and criminality...wow so efficient), according to my MP.

Checking whether you would get your money refunded/same application payment utilized.

Everyone is biased sometimes. I'm certain it's a problem at IRCC as well.

But it does not follow from that statement that you are being personally persecuted or discriminated against.

If you have not received AOR, it does not make sense that they would have started admissibility or criminality.

That's something you can check with your MP.

Good point. So you think it’s a little bit weird ? Because our MP just forwarded us (last week) a long response of IRCC explaining where’s the process and they said (I paraphrase) : admissibility : in progress
Criminality : in progress
Security : not started yet.
Medical : not requested yet.

So I should ask one more time my MP why I’m not getting the AOR yet ?

What about my fees ? I already paid.

That’s a huge difference between me and these people. Unfair.
Hi. I think maybe you should stop obsessing about other people's progress versus your own. Everybody's situation is different. Nobody can travel to Canada right now anyway so what difference does it make if one application is being finalised quicker than the other. We are all in the same boat. At the mercy of some unseen immigration officer who holds our fate in his or her hand. Let us be happy for those who have received positive news and encourage the ones who have not received anything to be optimistic that positive news will come soon. This is why we joined this forum so that total strangers who share a common goal can come together and give each other hope and encouragement. Please let us now stop with the negativity especially during these stressful and unprecedented times. Thank you.

Yes. Did your MP get an application number? A proper one - beginning with F? Do you have a UCI?

If you have those, I believe you can order GCMS. (You may need less than that, I don't recall)

I’m in Canada since 9 months, I came with my wife with an eTA, I don’t need a visa. I’m stuck in Canada ( my wife -medically speaking- needs me), that’s why I’m worried, because I can’t work due to the type of my application (Outland = can’t have an Open work permit).

From the first e-mail of my MP, I got a temporary file number (XF....).
I’ve the UCI.
We already ordered our GCMS notes, few weeks ago. Let’s see :)

I should note: if eligibility, I suppose it's possible it's hung up on eligibility check of the sponsor - I don't know their internal steps to say whether that's a required step for AOR. You would have a better idea if there are any possible issues there.

Another thing that triggered me, why did they start the criminality check background and not the security ? The security is the most annoying one because it takes time and they’re dependent on others (agencies like Interpol, etc). That’s really bizarre and sad.

That's standard, not until later in procedure. Security can be time consuming but is not always.

I doubt interpol would add time, even if part of that later stage, which I doubt (rcmp would already have relevant interpol data). As I understand, interpol is not much more than a database of names/notices (in this context anyway).
