Hello! My husband got AL today under extended family as his brother is a Canadian citizen but unfortunately, my daughter and I got refused. How can we apply for another AL and what are the supporting documents I need to send? My husband cannot land first because I am the principal applicant. Hope you can help us. Thank you !
Does your husband's brother live in the same area you got PNP? Also can i know from the time you submitted how long the AL took?

hi guys!!! i've been waiting over a year under FST and i'm guessing there is no one get copr yet under FST, am i right???

was FST usually takes this long to get pr? or this is unusual cuz covid?

just it's been so frustrating since CEC DRAW SCORE 76 or 75?, it makes me think that my application is not matter anymore. probably buried somewhere.

some ppl think or suggest re apply under cec again, but idk, time and money that i have to make through all the processing again seems awfully frustrating and disappointing.

if there is good news coming i will share with u guys!! Good luck.

It's not about the supporting documents but rather the law. I strongly feel you won't have any luck reapplying for the AL because as per the rule, only your spouse is authorize to travel under reunification. Things would have been different and easy if he was the PA and post his landing, you guys could have just used his COPR to travel.
Pls I have a question here. Can a post March 2020 COPR HOLDER whose Cousin lives in Canada get EXEMPTION (AL) to travel with his family?

Yes provided he/she is the PA's first cousin and can apply under extended family. However, the PA alone would get the AL for now. Family can join him once he lands and gets his COPR copy.

Does the first cousin fall under extended family?

Did you get any extension in medical before re medical request?
Funnily enough, I did. So I ordered GCMS notes on 10th Feb, and received them on 23rd Feb.

Turns out, they had extended my medicals on 29th October 2020, until 29th April 2021.

I had perviously ordered, and received, my GCMS notes on 23rd October 2020, so it didn't reflect in those.

And then I got the letter(s) for re-medical on 18th Feb.

Not in a rush or anything - cannot travel anyway before April 21st. So... just letting it flow.

EDIT: 24th Feb Update - We passed the re-medical examination as well. Now 24th Feb 2021 is the new date of "Review of Medical Results"

Dear @legalfalcon your responses are much appreciated.

IRCC has requested re-medicals from me and my kids, except from my spouse. I have asked why is that through webform but just got a generic reply, no meaningful answer.
Remedical was requested on Dec 14 with 90 days deadline to submit it so that is expiring on March 14. My wife is doing her Masters which she plans to finish in May 2022 so the plans have changed a bit. If we are granted PR sometime this or next year the plan is to take off once she graduates.
My question is can I request IRCC to extend remedicals deadline and move it for instance to June so I can have another year until mandatory landing?
Please suggest what would be the best way to go about this without going through third re-medical?

Thanks so much. Grateful for your knowledge base and willingness to help.

You have to have valid medicals on file when your application is being processed as well as when you land. If you cannot give medicals, you can inform IRCC and they can in their discretion give you extensions. However, they have given you 90 days, which for most people is sufficient time to get it done.

I never received a re-med request however my medicals are extended until April 21. Aor dec 2019. Can we do a re-med if IRCC doesn't request for it?
